Private instrumental lessons are provided by highly qualified musicians. Flute, Violin, and Keyboard lessons are offered.
We have a Physical Education specialist who works with all classes. This program has been operating for a number of years and the students fitness and performance has improved enormously. Students participate in a number of sporting activities including : Swimming, Athletics, Summer Sport, Winter Sport, Cross Country Running and Orienteering.

The school has offered instruction in Italian for many years and provides an excellent program covering the language, culture and customs of Italy.

Social skills including independence and leadership are considered of utmost importance at Mount Macedon. Junior School Council and the Buddies Program provide opportunities for students to develop their leadership skills. Group work is encouraged in many areas of the curriculum and students are encouraged to take on responsibilities - Library Monitors, House Captains and School Captains are examples of such duties.
