PHYSICAL EDUCATION & SPORT
Mount Macedon Primary places emphasis on the development of skills, fitness and participation.
In 2010, we will introduce in the Early Years our Perceptual Motor Program (PMP) which develops gross and fine motor skills with emphasis on individual physical development and personal growth.
We emphasise good teamwork and sportsmanship. Our children participate in Interschool Sports within our region, which includes Summer Sports, Winter Sports, athletics and swimming.
Grade 4 students particpate in the Bike Education program, teaching the students about riding safely on the road, road rules and procedures. At the conclusion of the program the students participate our annual Williamstown Bike Ride using the skills that they learnt during the program whilst enjoying the views along the Maribynong River.
We also offer as part of the currciculum an Intensive 2 week Swimming Lessons program for all students at the school.
